Theresa’s Story

Theresa Naramore grew up in East Peoria and graduated from East Peoria High School in 1984. She married her high school sweetheart Tony Tracy. They moved to Washington where they started a family. Theresa was a proud mother of 3 wonderful children (Nia, Max, & Sam). The Tracy’s belonged to Saint Patrick’s Church in Washington, and Theresa was a dedicated employee at RLI in Peoria for over 20 years. Theresa enjoyed watching her children in all of their various activities. She enjoyed sewing, volunteering at Peoria Rescue Ministries, and spending time with family and friends.

Theresa taught her friends and family how to be strong and how to live our lives to the fullest. She didn’t worry about what was going to happen next week; she just focused on living in the moment and celebrating each day. Our family learned to gather together to celebrate life, to laugh, to have fun, and to just be in the moment. Theresa touched so many lives with her beautiful smile and positive attitude even when she was sick.

A group of dedicated family and friends formed Theresa Tracy Strive to Survive which is an all-volunteer organization in 2013 in memory of Theresa to bring awareness to one of the deadliest forms of cancer and our fight against it.
